Instrument support
Calibration settings & electrical verification
Calibration and verification support the relationship between instrument commands and measured electrical response. PET’s ICPEM 2025 presentation includes a workstation calibration interface and electrical performance checks. Public information is provided below, with unit-specific settings available through technical support.

Calibration interface and gain settings
See the calibration and gain groups used by the PEWS application. The displayed values have been changed for public presentation. Obtain approved settings for your own instrument from PET.

Settings supplied for the individual instrument
Calibration values depend on the instrument hardware, measurement channel and applicable range. Use the settings and instructions supplied for your unit. Do not copy calibration values from a presentation, another instrument or an unrelated software version.
Contact PET with the model, serial number if assigned, software version and a description of the observed response. Our team can advise on the applicable verification procedure and whether adjustment is appropriate.
Calibration settings overview
| Setting group | Purpose | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage generation and measurement | Review the relationship between commanded and measured voltage. | Unit-specific guidance from PET |
| Current measurement ranges | Review response in the applicable measurement range. | Unit-specific guidance from PET |
| GCD current control | Check the applied current and monitored voltage response. | Procedure agreed with PET |
| Verification record | Record instrument identification, conditions and checks performed. | Discuss documentation requirements with PET |
Calibration coefficients and adjustment instructions are supplied through technical support for the relevant unit. This page does not change instrument settings.
Before requesting an adjustment
- Record the instrument model and software version.
- Describe the selected operating mode and the observed issue.
- Review cable connections and test conditions using the supplied instructions.
- Retain the original settings and contact PET before changing calibration values.
Electrical checks using known test elements and electrochemical application tests answer different questions. A single demonstration trace does not quantify instrument uncertainty or certify performance across all ranges.
Scope of the published evidence
The presentation documents engineering calibration and verification during development. It does not establish an accredited calibration service, a traceable calibration certificate, or comprehensive measurement uncertainty. Discuss any certification or traceability requirement before ordering a verification service.
