Local engineering. Shared research ambition.

Building domestic instrumentation capability

Our import-substitution approach focuses on locally developed instrument design and support. The ICPEM 2025 presentation documents hardware and software development, electrical verification and preliminary CV/GCD studies. Future devices remain subject to feasibility assessment and further development.

Founded in 2024 · Built on local innovation

Precision Electronic Technologies is a faculty-founded startup incubated at BIC, Government College University Faisalabad. Our work connects instrumentation engineering with practical electrochemical research needs.

Who We Are

Precision Electronic Technologies (PET) develops locally designed electrochemical instruments and Windows-compatible software to make research tools more accessible, customizable, and supportable in Pakistan.

Founder and CEO Engr. Dr. Arslan Dawood Butt, Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology, GCUF, leads electronics and software development, testing, product direction, student mentoring, and collaboration.

Our Mission

To support academic, industrial, and private research laboratories with accessible electrochemical instrumentation, customization, and local technical support.

Our Vision

To strengthen indigenous instrumentation capability through iterative engineering, research collaboration, and hands-on skills development.

Multidisciplinary research

Chemistry & Biochemistry

Dr. Arslan Dawood Butt collaborates with Dr. Saima Rehman (Chemistry) and Dr. Shagufta Kamal (Biochemistry), GCUF.

Proposed research project

COMSATS Lahore

Industrial-partner support committed for a proposed portable food-toxin biosensor project: electronics, enclosure, software, testing, and device optimization.

Development project

Student & alumni development

Training, tools, and consumables support offered for the 2025–26 FYP on an IoT-based reconfigurable handheld electrochemical analyzer for paper electrodes.

Research capability

Research use at GCUF

The October 2026 company profile reports instrument use in GCUF’s Department of Chemistry, with further interest from the Physics Department.

Knowledge exchange

Research dissemination

PEWS design, electrical verification, and preliminary CV/GCD comparisons were presented at ICPEM 2025.

The COMSATS project is proposed; support does not imply awarded funding or a completed device. The handheld analyzer is a development direction.

Research and validation

PEWS development combines circuit simulation, PCB design, software development, enclosure integration, and electrical verification. The ICPEM 2025 presentation reports preliminary CV/GCD comparisons and identifies further matched-setup validation as future work.

The founder co-authored a 2025 Materials Today Chemistry study on electrochemical evaluation of graphene-functionalized polyacrylamide hydrogels for energy storage. Read the research paper.
